When I try to access my 5″ x 4″ flash drive, I receive this error indicating that it is unreadable.

    You should use the CheckDisk utility.

    (Windows 7)
    Start >> type “cmd” into the search box.
    When the cmd.exe program appears in the listing, right-click and choose “Run as Administrator”.
    Be sure that your device is still being assigned the drive letter, “H”.
    From the command line, type:
    chkdsk h: /f

    Press “enter”.
    The utility will attempt to fix any corrupted sectors.
