Dell Inspiron Battery Not Charging

Asked by: 1648 views ,
Hardware, resolved

I have a Dell Inspiron 3521 lsptop. I keep it plugged in most of the time, so I don’t rely on the battery very often. Anyway, the battery indicator (3rd led from the left on the front) is showing a steady orange. The battery status indicates, “plugged in, not charging”, and the battery is only charged to 9%.  Help.

    Simple fix.
    1. Remove the battery in order to rely on the AC source.
    2. Shut down the PC.
    3. Remove the plug.
    4. Return the battery.
    5. Boot the machine.
    6. Connect the AC power.
The orange indicator will shine white, meaning the battery is now in “charge mode”.
